THE HUMAN RIGHTS CONSORTIUM

The Human Rights Consortium was established in 2000 to encourage community participation in the consultation process on the proposed Bill of Rights for Northern Ireland.

Its membership has now grown to over 100 non-governmental organisations, trade unions and community groups, and represents a wide range of constituencies and communities.

The unifying factor in the Human Rights Consortium is a firmly-held belief that a strong and inclusive Bill of Rights can play a fundamental role in the creation of a better, more just, inclusive and shared Northern Ireland.

The 'Make Our Bill of Rights Strong' campaign has been started by the Human Rights Consortiums members and supporters in order to evidence & mobilise the huge public support that exists for a strong and inclusive Bill of Rights for Northern Ireland.  You can find out more about their campaign here.
